Learn the Foundation skills of Tracking and Trailing.
This fun 4 week course will build strong foundation in the skills of tracking and trailing with their handler. The handlers will understand the dfference between the two disciplines, know when one skill will be more useful than the other, know which their dog prefers and ultimately view both as a fun way to work with their dog whilst utilisng the incredible power of their nose.
Each week we will meet somewhere different (all within a 30 min drive of our training field in Carleen) depending on the weather, the prgression of the group and the skills you're learning.
Please note:
- Due to the nature of the sessions your dog MUST be comfortable being left in your vehicle at times during the session. If you dog is distressed in your vehicle you may be asked to leave; your dog's welfare is always my priority.
- You will need a moderate level of fitness for this course - if unsure please check before booking.
- We train regardless of the weather unless it is unsafe to do - please come dressed appropriately.
- For this class your dog should be comfortable around other dogs and people. If they aren't please get in touch so that we can find the right training solution for them (please note: I don’t offer 121 training but can refer you on to some great local trainers who do).

Misha and I absolutely loved the foundation track and trail. I was so surprised how quickly he got into work mode ! and focussed on tracking and trailing. He was very quick to track and find me or Vicki or others in the group. Misha was very eager to get going when it was his turn, and very happy throughout the session. As a handler I love Vicki’s approach and always learn so much.
I have made some great friends through scent work and training and adventure walks and learn so much from watching others in the group with their dogs. I’m looking forward to further tracking soon and learning so much more about my clever pup :)

this course is brilliant!
We have thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt tons.
Vicki’s understanding of all things “dog “ is amazing. I’ve never seen her without her boots on but I’m pretty sure when she takes them off she has paws and not feet . and if you cut her in half she’d be at least half dog !
But in all seriousness, any course, at whatever level you and your dog are at , both of you will really benefit from undertaking training with her .
Thanks Vicki your ace
