Locations & Directions

As we know, finding rural locations can be tricky even when using sat nav on our devices and so we strongly recommend that you use What 3 Words.

"What 3 Words" is a map app that is a really easy way to find and share locations.  They have divided the world into 3 metre squares and each square has been given a unique combination of 3 words.

You can download the what3words app directly to your phone from your app store or visit What 3 Words  HERE

Carleen Training Field

what3words:  measure.singer.everybody   (please use this method to find us, if at all possible)

Post Code:  TR13 9NT (please do not follow sat nav - it will take you to the wrong place!)

Directions:

If you are coming from Hayle, Redruth, St Ives (or similar areas) please follow sat nav to Godolphin Cross and then follow option 1.

If you are coming from Falmouth, The Lizard please head towards Helston and then follow option 2.

If you are coming from Penzance direction, please follow sat nav to Breage and then follow option 3.

1. From Godolphin Cross carry straight on until you enter Carleen.  Once you see the Carleen village sign take the first LEFT (it is signposted to Polladras).  Follow that road for about 1 mile, our training field is after the last house on the left with a 5 bar wooden gate - just before the 'end of speed limit' sign.

2. From Helston.  Turn right on onto the B3303 towards Hayle.  Take the 2nd left onto Poldown Rd towards Carleen.  Once you're in Carleen take the 2nd right turn towards Polladras (there’s a house on the corner with a white wall with Post Box Corner painted on it). Follow that road for about 1 mile, our training field is after the last house on the left with a 5 bar wooden gate - just before the 'end of speed limit' sign.

3. From Breage. Follow signs to Carleen, as you come into the village you will see the village hall on your right.  Take the sharp right hand turn straight after the village hall.  Go all the way to the cross roads and go straight over towards Polladras. Follow that road for about 1 mile, our training field is after the last house on the left with a 5 bar wooden gate - just before the 'end of speed limit' sign.

4. From Camborne drive towards Nancegollan.  Take the right hand turn to Carleen in the middle of Nancegollan.  Follow that road until the crossroads and go straight over.  Then take the first left, then first right, carry on down that lane until you see the first house on your right, the entrance to the field is just before that house on your right hand side.

(Now do you see why I strongly recommend What 3 Words!!)

Parking is limited when the ground is wet so when you arrive please wait to be directed and only drive onto the grass if specifically asked to do so.

Please note there are no toilet facilites - for longer sessions a camping toilet & tent will be available.
